Eira the Absol, Leader of the Fubuki Clan Empty
PostSubject: Eira the Absol, Leader of the Fubuki Clan   Eira the Absol, Leader of the Fubuki Clan EmptySun Nov 17, 2013 4:22 pm

Name: Eira
Species: #359 Absol, the Disaster Pokémon
Gender: Female

Affiliation: Fubuki Clan
Position: Leader

Level: 40
Ability: Super Luck
Moveset:
-Punishment (Egg)
-Blizzard (TM)
-Iron Tail (Tutor)
-Razor Wind (Lvl. 17)
-Dark Pulse (Tutor)
-Flamethrower (TM)

Appearance: The only difference in appearance from a normal Absol is that her horn is shaped more like that of a Mega Absol, being more shapely than the general scythe shaped horn; though it isn't as bulky as a Mega Absol's horn, instead being thinner and more elegant.

Personality: Eira can be as cold as her namesake, though most of the time that is not the case. Always calm and collected, it will take an awful lot to penetrate her calm and friendly demeanor. Intelligent and calculating, Eira is a suitable leader and a quick thinker; the clan know they can depend on her in times of need. Despite her role as the Fubuki Clan's leader, she always manages to find the time to spend a while with her friends. She is fiercely loyal and the betrayal of others is one of the only things that can truly anger her; though others might not see it beneath her cool and controlled exterior. If anyone were to ever betray her or her clan, they had better be prepared for her wrath.

History: Eira was born into the Fubuki Clan as a child of a Zoroark and an Absol, the Head Scout and Healer at the time respectively. Due to this, the clan always had high expectations of her, hoping that she would follow in her parents footsteps and achieve equally great feats. Eira had a close relationship with both of her parents and it was because of this that it took her longer than most youngsters to decide what field she wished to train in. She was always astounded by her father's Illusion ability, even though she knew she could never use it like he could, however her mother's ability to sense disasters had saved a patrol from a particularly fierce snowstorm many times before. She at first contemplated becoming a healer like her mother, until -as they say- one fateful day....

Her father, a powerful Zoroark and the Head Scout, had been sent on a hunting patrol with a group of four other scouters. They had been hunting for food in the Musei Forest, near the long disputed Kusa Clan border when they were ambushed by a group of Kusa Knights who were hoping to take some of the Fubuki's part of the forest as their own. Due to the fight having been unprovoked and unexpected, the five scouts were taken by surprise and were quickly overwhelmed, Eira's father among them. The four surviving withdrew from the area with heavy injuries, leaving the Kusa Knights to claim part of Fubuki territory for their own. Whilst two of the remaining four recovered effortlessly, the other two, including Eira's father, died of their serious injuries no more than a day later.

Eira and her mother were grief stricken, the Head Healer's normally cheerful personality retreating into a shell at the shock of the death of her mate. She felt anger towards the Kusa Clan, but also felt guilty that she hadn't been able to save him, or the other scouts that had succumbed to their injuries. Though Eira also grieved for her father, she didn't let it affect her as it had her mother. Instead, she turned the anger she felt towards the Kusa Clan into a motivation. She had finally decided which path she would take; she would follow in her fathers footsteps and become a Scouter for the Clan. She vowed to train herself so that she would be able to use her disaster sensing skills to detect the vibrations of footsteps, so that she may warn a future hunting patrol of an incoming attack and give them more of a chance to prepare and defend themselves. In doing this, she caught the current leader's attention, unwittingly living up to her parents' legacy. The Head Scout's position was filled by an older pokemon who trained Eira in the ways of a scout. Soon she became a fully fledged scout and took her place within the clan. Upon the Head Scout's retirement, the leader chose her as the Head.

Eira continued as the Head Scout for many moons, before the previous leader took ill and primarily stayed in the grotto that was allocated for the clan leader to sleep. After much thinking, the leader finally named Eira as her successor, knowing that with such an illness that the healers could not treat, she would soon be gone. Eira was honoured by the leader's choice, but was worried by the prospect of becoming the sole body that the clan would turn to for decisions in such serious matters. Nevertheless, she turned to her previous mentor for advice in learning the move Blizzard so that, should the leader pass, she would be able to partake in one of the Clan's longstanding traditions; the creation of a Kōrihino lantern. The previous Head Scout gave her the secrets to not only learning the move Blizzard, but the move Flamethrower as well.

When the Fubuki Clan's leader finally passed, the clan gathered in the main Frost Cavern, Eira hesitantly stepped up onto the ledge used by the clan leader for making important announcements. Looking at the faces of each of her clanmates, she broke the news that the leader had passed. Though the entire clan felt saddened at the loss of the previous leader, it came as no surprise as all knew how ill she had become. After delivering the news, Eira hopped down from the ledge and headed outside to prepare herself for the ceremony she would participate in that night.

When night fell, Eira silently returned to the Frost Caverns. It was fairly warm, summer half moon and the clan gathered in the main cavern to witness the creation of Eira's Kōrihino lantern. Using a small burst from her Flamethrower, she lit a specially prepared torch, then with very skillful precision, the Absol used Blizzard. She surrounded the flame in the cold winds, freezing the area around the flames until they were trapped inside. Within the ice, the flames flickered orange in colour. With small nods to the rest of the clan and an assortment of positive 'good luck's and 'you'll be fine' from her clanmates, Eira smiled and headed out of the Frost Caverns, accompanied by her mother and the Head Knight. They headed towards the warm oasis that was part of the Fubuki Clan's territory. As per tradition, the leader-to-be would sit vigil in this oasis with their newly made Kōrihino lantern whilst the remaining heads guarded her. Here she would watch her lantern, for if the flames turned purple by morning it was a sign from Arceus that she was accepted as the new leader. As per tradition, if the flames blew out or remained orange, her leadership would be questioned by the entire clan.

Eira lay on the grass in the strange, mystical oasis, her lantern before her as the remaining heads took up their positions a short distance away. It was half of the night later before she realised that the flame within the ice had become purple in colour and with a small smile on her face, she touched her nose to the warm ice and closed her eyes, falling asleep shortly after with the knowledge that she had been accepted as the next leader of the Fubuki Clan.

It is now nearly five moons later and winter is almost upon the clans.

Other: Eira is a name meaning 'Snow' in Welsh.
Eira also has an ability unique to her; as well as being able to sense disasters, she trained herself to be able to sense the vibrations of footsteps upon the earth. Being the Clan Leader, she knows how each of the footsteps of her clanmates feel and can easily separate them from the footsteps of those she is unfamiliar with, giving her a good way to warn others of an ambush or incoming attack.
